Substance Abuse

Eating disorders of all kinds affect so many people. Overeating, undereating, bulimia, anorexia, etc. have many root causes, sometimes related to depression, body image disorders, mental health, belief systems, and more. When we work with students and their families around eating disorders, we help everyone to understand why it’s happening, and ways of getting out of the cycle. We want you to live life to your full potential, and we’re here to help.

How to talk to your parents: If you feel safe to do so, the best time to talk with them is now. Eating disorders can affect your body in so many ways and the best time to make a change is today. Let them know that you want to talk with them in private about something serious. Let them know what’s been going on and that you need help to make a change. Of course, we are here to help with the change. If you need help starting the conversation, please reach out.
